If the distance doesn’t bother you, I’d recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away from a busy town. The house itself was spotless, the rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable, and the sunrises were stunning. It had nearly everything we needed; when we asked for what was missing, like coffee filters, we got it. The owner also did our laundry since there’s no washing machine in the flat. English communication was no problem. It’s a scenic 20-minute walk from the village, along a path overlooking it, with an uphill stretch at the start. There’s no public transport, and the local taxi charges 25 euro for a 2 km ride, which is a steal by any standards. Be warned!! ! Luckily, Mrs Ramona, the property owner, kindly gave us a morning ride back to town so we could catch an early bus, and her husband dropped us at the bus stop at 6 am. For skiing, I wouldn’t try carrying gear back and forth. Rent a locker near the lifts, even though the property has a heated room with a boot rack. You can order baked goods and perhaps other items for fresh morning delivery, but we skipped that. The neighborhood restaurant operates in season and seems to close early, so check the hours if you plan to go. I highly recommend it, but there’s nothing else nearby. Mrs Ramona returned the money for the last day when we decided to cut our stay short for other reasons, which was very kind.
