A CASA Rubin Chalet & Studio Resort

We had a great stay at Rubin Studios, though there are a few things worth bearing in mind. We were in Top 2, with two bedrooms: one had a terrace, the other its own bathroom, plus there was a second bathroom in the hallway. Our room was new, clean, and felt fresh, and the kitchen had lots of useful equipment. The terrace could have had a beautiful view, but a construction site was right in front of us. You could see the mountains and ski resort, but the work spoiled the view. I guess it won't take long to finish, but keep it in mind. The other bedroom looked onto a concrete wall and driveway, so I'd rate the view from that particular apartment 3 at most. The Wi-Fi was really slow, around 5 Mbs or something. Mobile data was pretty bad up there for me too. I didn't really understand the sauna hours: the display said Thu till Sat, but it was operating Tue as well. We went in and met lots of other people there. If the sauna is closed at Rubin Studios, you can use the ones at Saphir or Kristal, which operate daily. There's even a swimming pool! The location is pretty nice. It's a couple of kilometres from Sölden itself and the ski resort, but with a car you can get there in just minutes. The reception desk is in the city centre, so a car is handy for going there. We stopped by just after skiing to ask some questions, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Speaking of porks, you get 10% off ski equipment rental at Intersport, a nice little touch. Let's see if I get charged a cleaning fee, as people have been talking about in the comments. I'd recommend the place, though I'd also check out alternatives if there are any.

You can really switch off and relax in this very clean apartment block, with its amazing view and peaceful, quiet feel. The wellness area is small but nice. I really recommend it!

The price for what you get is okay, but the accommodation is missing smoke detectors completely. They should be installed.

We stayed in one of the studios in late summer 2020 and felt comfortable there overall. It's good value, clean, spacious, in a good location, and the reception was friendly. There were some drawbacks. The terrace is shared with other guests, so in theory people could see into the bedroom. Its lights came on automatically in the evenings and made the room quite bright despite the blackout curtains. The studios were also rather noisy. It would help to add terrace partitions, turn off the outdoor lights, and provide soap, dishcloths, baking paper or a casserole dish, and a clothes drying rack.
