The room was very clean and well presented, with good facilities. The heating was great, maybe too good for me, so I turned off all the radiators. The warmth from below was enough, and the bed and bedding were extremely comfortable and warm. We arrived late, but although check-in was before 1800, calling ahead meant there was no problem. It’s toward the centre of town. The Gaislachogl lift, with the James Bond feature, wasn’t open yet as of Feb 18. It’s a 10 minute walk to that lift and 15 minutes to the free lift for the learner area. There’s good parking at both main lifts, but get there early. The only thing that nearly brought my rating down to 4 stars was the lack of a microwave.

The room was always warm, and the location was good, but the place feels dated. The kitchen isn’t well equipped, with no microwave or oven, the internet costs extra, and there are visible bathroom problems in the photo. Breakfast is very poor for 10 euro. After the first day, we chose to spend the same amount eating next door at Garni Rustica, which was a perfect choice. As for the owner, I’m sure she could use anger management courses and learn how to speak to tourists.

The staff were unfriendly, and there was no free WiFi. Breakfast had very little choice. The bed mattress was poor, the bathroom had no soap, and the towels smelled like they’d been washed with dirt. There were a couple of brown spots on the sheets, which seemed not to have been washed in ages. The TV screen was smaller than a 7 inch tablet. Staying here felt like a trip back to the 70s, with a twist.
