The spa, pool, and interior design are beautiful, and the hotel has pretty much everything you'd need. The staff are kind and friendly, but the bedding needs attention. The pillows felt cheap and low quality, as did the mattress, and I found both the pillows and bed extremely uncomfortable. For a high-quality hotel, choosing a king-size bed should mean getting a real king-size experience. Pushing two twin beds together and calling them a “king-size/double bed” doesn't seem professional. That's why I'm giving three stars.

The location was fantastic, and I'd highly recommend staying here. We were here last July for my wife's special birthday, and Franzi and Nora took such good care of us. They pointed us toward the best hiking areas and even went out of their way to surprise her with a birthday cake in our chalet.

The breakfast was okay, though it could be improved. Still, this is a great option in Solden, with polite, helpful service, nice rooms, and a lovely spa. The location is excellent too, just a five-minute walk from the ski station.

The only drawback was the heat in the rooms. They were extremely hot, with no thermostat to control the temperature, so opening the windows was the only way to cool them down. The hotel itself was excellent, with clean, quiet, well-designed family suites that were huge, plus a world-class two-story spa. It isn't ski-in/ski-out, but the gondola is only a two- to three-minute walk away in ski gear.
