The house has a rustic feel and sits right in the center of Gurgl, with the lifts about five minutes away. My room was spacious and comfortable, with a balcony and its own bathroom, and it was very warm. The hosts are local, which made things convenient. There’s a sauna, you can order pastries, and there’s a ski room. The area has 363 km of slopes on one ski pass, with ski storage rooms, and the runs stay in great shape through the end of the day. Buses to Sölden come every 10 minutes.

We spent a very enjoyable week here. Our two-room apartment was spacious, clean, and pleasant, and the host gave us a warm welcome. It was also very quiet, with ideal hiking country all around.

It was a good place to stay. The locals weren’t the best people, though they were acceptable.
