Hotel Hubertus

A really welcoming family-run hotel. The staff were so helpful, the food was delicious, and the room was clean and comfortable, with a great jacuzzi bath. It's in an excellent location and I'd highly recommend it.

The room was spacious and very nice, and dogs are welcome. There's plenty of parking, a sauna, and breakfast is included. The best part for me was the mountain view from the room, plus the funicular directly across the street makes it easy to get out snowboarding. You can buy your ski ticket at reception too. The hotel has a nice, typical Tirolean style, but breakfast could've been better. We went at 8:30 and much of the food was already gone, with nothing replenished. That happened on two of the three days. The elevator also often got stuck while we were in it, and didn't work well at all. We told staff several times, but they seemed unaware of the problem. It should be fixed.

The service and amenities at this four-star hotel were excellent, but other guests disrupted our stay, particularly families with children. Kids ran around screaming and littering, while their parents seemed unconcerned about the people around them. For a hotel with this level of luxury, that lack of peace made the price feel unjustified and the stay fell short of the tranquility we expected.

We tried the lamb with gnocchi and the veal with mashed potatoes, and both were poor value. The lamb was somewhat better, but still left us disappointed overall. The veal didn't seem like veal at all, and the meat was such low quality it was inedible. When we asked for the bill, the waiter twice pointed out that tip wasn't included. Since tipping was optional at this restaurant, that felt odd. Maybe the regular cook was away?
