There are lovely views of the lake and mountains, and the apartment is comfortable and well appointed. The famous Schafbergbahn railway runs right beside it. It's a handy base for hiking, cycling, and other outings, and the host is friendly while giving you space.

The price for what you get is excellent. Rooms have all the essentials, and the mountain views are great. The hiking trail up to the summit of the Schafsberg begins right by the house. Shops, restaurants, and cafes are about a 15-minute walk away.

Breakfast isn't included, so I gave it four stars. The landlady is lovely and you can knock whenever you have a question. It's a five-minute walk to the small but nice beach, though the apartment itself is about five minutes uphill on foot. Even rainy days leave plenty to explore around here.

The apartment has a bedroom, living room, and kitchen, with all the cooking utensils provided, and it's good value for money. Hiking paths to Schafberg and Mönichsee start right outside. The lake and the Schafbergbahn cable car are a five-minute walk away, and St. Wolfgang's center takes about ten minutes on foot. The guesthouse has lovely panoramic mountain views.
