I asked for a mountain-view room, but got a dark room facing another building about 3m away. At booking, the very young, not very nice receptionist said it would face the parking lot and the mountains. That wasn’t true. She also said there were no other rooms available. The next morning I told the owner I was leaving, and suddenly she said she could get me another room. So there were rooms after all? The dining room was dim and sad, and the service was appalling. No hello, no smile. The salad bar was pension level, though breakfast was pretty good. The pool jets were broken, and the spa door was closed after 7 even though they claim it stays open much later. They said they “didn’t know.” This is not a 4 star hotel. Answer: Obviously, I’m writing under another name.

The hotel itself was great: family-run, with good food, a nice selection of mainly local wines, and very helpful staff. The rooms were nice, the view was great, and the spa facilities were pretty good. It’s well placed for lots of things, and there’s a station at the bottom of the hill if you’d rather not drive. We went at the end of May, just before the main summer season, and we’re quite hard to please, but thoroughly enjoyed it. If we came back, we’d go a couple of weeks later, once the main huts network opens in mid-June and hiking season gets going. Recommended.

The kids had a great time caring for and feeding the horses and cows on the small farm, and the indoor pool was fun for them too. It’s a very friendly, family-oriented hotel in a perfect ski-in/ski-out location. Highly recommended, especially for families with children!

The hotel is beautiful, but I was quite disappointed by how badly it’s run. The reception and kitchen staff’s behavior didn’t fit a 4star hotel at that price. They tried to put us in a room without a window and ignored our requests about my diet, among other things. I’d never go back. :-(

The wellness area is well equipped, and both reception and service were friendly. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and well maintained, with good food.
