The owners were so friendly and helpful, and the house is in a central spot for reaching lots of lovely hiking areas in a 15-20-minute drive. Innsbruck is about 30 minutes away by car. The place itself is an authentic, cozy detached house with an enclosed garden, great if you have a dog. There are several places to sit outside, so you can pick sun or shade as the day goes on. Highly recommended!

The house has a wonderfully rustic feel, with wood, creaky floorboards, and a cozy living room. The seating is really comfortable, and the wood heater keeps the room warm for a long time. It also sends warm air upstairs. The adjoining kitchenette is a bit worn and the equipment doesn’t match. It’s great with a dog, thanks to the exciting, fully fenced garden. The tall old trees and the winter-shady side of the Inn Valley make the house rather dark, though. Even during the day, you need the lights when it’s overcast. All in all, it’s a welcome change from ordinary accommodation. If you like simple, rustic places, it can feel like stepping back in time.
