The studio felt like a fully equipped apartment, and the terrace off the living room looked out over the Ossiachersee. There’s private parking, plus a private beach with a toilet and fire pit. Terene Hill was a lovely host and happy to help with anything. There are restaurants nearby and around the area that cost less than in Hungary, and plenty of places to visit. E-bike hire was 50 euros for a day. I’d definitely recommend it.

The apartment had everything we needed, though some of the furnishings were a little dated. From the balcony, the view over Lake Ossiach was wonderful, and the small, quiet beach by the lake was fantastic too. I’d happily come back.

That balcony view left me speechless! Everyone was so friendly, and even the sweet cat added to the stay. I honestly have nothing to complain about. It felt like a dream, and I really hope to come back. Thanks so much for everything!

For a 25 sq m studio, it’s a modest place with mountain-style furnishings, a small bathroom and kitchen, but it was very clean and soundproofed. Recycling bins are on every floor. The advertised Booking.com price doesn’t include the taxes and local cleaning fees, which add up to a good 20% more. For one week at €385, that meant another €26.60 in taxes and €53 in property taxes, bringing the total to €464.60. A 30% deposit is due by bank transfer in advance, and the balance is paid in cash. Booking.com should spell out these costs before people book.
