Bergrose Hideaway

I joined a large cycling group, and the staff took care of everything we needed. They were kind, helpful, and always greeted us with a warm smile. It's a wonderful family-run hotel, with beautiful grounds, lovely dining areas, a small boutique shop, and a carefully designed spa. Every part of the place feels thoughtfully put together.

We spent five nights here and would happily return. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated. We did miss having tea-making facilities and perhaps a small fridge, though that's from two tea-obsessed Brits who drink it all day. The hotel was quiet at that time of year, so we often had the spa to ourselves. I especially liked the relaxation room with its views, and the little reading nook by the window in our room. Our balcony looked out onto a lovely view, and we could hear the stream running alongside the garden. Lake Wolfgangsee is very close, and we spent most of our time exploring the area. The family and staff were helpful, especially Bettina, who was a friendly host. We enjoyed breakfast each day and had dinner at the restaurant once. The food was delicious.

There’s handy bicycle storage at the back of the hotel, and the room had a great view. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were good too.
