Appartementhaus Kaltenbach-Stumm

The setting is lovely, but the accommodation itself was a big letdown. Eight people are expected to sleep in only 55 square meters, with two beds even in the kitchen. It felt cramped and uncomfortable, with hardly any space to move around. The cleaning was also poor. We found underwear left by previous guests in the cupboards, which was unpleasant and unhygienic. It doesn't seem like the place gets a proper thorough clean. The kitchen was described as new, but it was actually an older model, and there was no oven. That made cooking very impractical for anyone planning to cater for themselves. The shower wasn't much better, either. Its water pressure was so weak that showering was slow and unpleasant, especially for someone with long or thick hair. The description set expectations the accommodation didn't meet. To me, it came across as a way to fit as many paying guests as possible into a small space, with too little regard for comfort, cleanliness, or an accurate description of the facilities.
