2/10
The setting is lovely, the rooms are wonderful, and the service is very friendly. The food, though, didn’t meet the standard I’d expect from a five-star place. Breakfast might be fine in a mid-range hotel, but there was bottled juice instead of freshly pressed, no choice of cheese or sausage since it was already prepared and served, and only one hot drink. There was no fish, and the scrambled eggs weren’t freshly made. We’d booked a three-course dinner as well, and that was even worse. The portions were too small, the main course took an hour to arrive, and it was lukewarm when it did. The meat was tough and the fish had no taste. Never again.

The complex has been renovated and designed really well. The staff are friendly, and the food is excellent too.

The view and surroundings were lovely and peaceful. The room was nice, though I’d expected more from breakfast.

A very good hotel, but it’s far out in the fields and feels quite unique.
