We had a wonderful few days here. The Kögl family have been running this friendly guesthouse since 1959, and it has a lovely view over Lake Thiersee. Grandpa, at 90, is still around keeping an eye on things. He’s always asking whether everything is to your liking and saying hello. Guests can have dinner there in the evening. The couple make a well-prepared four-course meal at a reasonable price. Breakfast is delicious, Austrian-style, and the lady will cook you an egg if you like. It’s excellent value if you’re not demanding. Hats off to the Kögl family.

The Wi-Fi was slow and weak, and the furniture was very old and poor quality. Our room wasn’t ready, even though there were no other guests.
