Haus Seeblick am See

The price is hard to justify for what you get. Honestly, something closer to half the rate listed on sites like Booking.com would feel fair. The guesthouse is worn down, and the hallway has a musty smell with no ventilation. Parking out front costs extra, even though these are just basic spaces. There’s no room service, so soap and toilet paper can run out. We had to replace them ourselves using supplies kept in the hallway. In the room, there’s only a small pillow, and the light strip over the bed sits where you keep hitting your head on it. The building stays open even overnight, while reception is only staffed in the mornings. You can put bikes in an unused guest room, but with doors left open, they need to be locked up securely.

The mountain panorama is gorgeous, and the view over the Thiersee is magnificent. The hosts made us feel welcome, and the place is very cozy, close to the lake.

We had a fantastic time, with a great place to stay and hosts who were super friendly.

We loved the lake view from the apartment. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and gave us some great tips.
