Haus Tanneck

Magdalena was always on hand to answer our questions and made us feel very welcome. The house is gorgeous, spotlessly clean, and has more equipment than you'll need for a stay in Austria. Its spot in Tuxertal is fabulous. I'd recommend it for a summer or winter trip.

Magdalena and her boyfriend were so friendly and easy to deal with, and they handled the small repairs right away. The bus stop and glacier are close by, which is a fantastic location. Our family, with several generations together, took all five rooms. Each was clean, tidy, and had its own bathroom. We spent time together in the roomy common area, which was comfortable for meals and socializing. The kitchen was very well stocked and fine for cooking, aside from a few minor things. We felt at home and would love to return.

The bread delivery was superb, and the large ski storage room had space even for athletes with lots of equipment. The owner was friendly and easy to reach with questions. With five rooms and two beds in each, it's a good setup for groups. The rooms are a nice size, with balconies, and the kitchen has everything you need. Everything was clean and well maintained. Check-in was excellent: we got the keys, an orientation to the house, and helpful information about the region. I can easily imagine taking another holiday here.

Magdalena was really friendly and gave us plenty of useful information. The ski bus stop is nearby, with the cross-country trail right across the street. You can see the glacier from the window, and it's reachable in the next village. Our group loved the facilities: the kitchen had everything we needed and lots of space to cook together, plus the adjoining common room was great for meals and evenings together. Every double room has its own bathroom. We'd love to come back.
