Having a baby with us, it was a big help that the staff made things convenient for our family. They were quick and helpful throughout, always with a friendly, calm manner. Hotel Forelle in Tux, Austria is also in a great spot, with the bus stop right outside. We had a truly enjoyable stay, and I'm very grateful to the staff.

We paid 91 EUR per person per night including breakfast in high season, which felt reasonable. We stayed with the family for a week of skiing in the Hotel Garni. The hosts were friendly and capable, the rooms comfortable and quiet, and the breakfast buffet was great. The wellness area was nice, and the Rastkogel gondola base station is close by. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, though we'd pick dinner at the hotel's restaurant. Just be aware the three-star hotel is older and sits right on the noisy main street. I'd also bring my own pillow, since the ones there are basically flat sheets. Still, a great hotel at a good price in a great ski resort.

The bus stop right in front was handy, and I liked the breakfast and wellness area, especially the elder spritzer and infrared couches or cabin. If you're staying at the hotel or in the village, definitely try the trout filet. We did have some problems: the heating was out for three days, leaving our room pretty cold, and it wasn't fixed after we told reception. On day three, there was no hot water, so showering wasn't possible. Both issues were sorted the day before we left.
