Hotel Pinzger

The staff were the one part that needs improvement. The waiters kept speaking German to us for the whole week even though they knew we didn’t understand. At reception, people always seemed busy and weren’t very helpful. Everything else worked well for our ski trip. The hotel is in a perfect spot in the middle of the valley, with easy access in every direction. Our room was nice and clean, the facilities had everything we needed, and the small, cozy wellness area was useful after long ski days. The food was good for the price, with a nice breakfast variety.

The breakfast and dinner option we chose worked out really well. The dishes were varied and very tasty, the Chef did a great job, and service was fantastic, helpful and smiling every day. We were very pleased with our stay at the Pinzger hotel. Our spacious, comfortable room was cleaned daily, the bathroom was large and comfortable, and the balcony had a beautiful mountain view. I highly recommend it!

The spa facilities were excellent. I’m from Iceland and used to a high standard, but Hotel Pinzger’s spa beat what I’m used to. It was such a nice way to end a day on the slopes, which began with a very healthy breakfast buffet :-). I work in tourism and stay in hotels often, but coming to Hotel Pinzger always feels like coming home. They knew I was arriving and welcomed me with a smile and genuine interest. The human touch is warm and service minded, and my room was beautiful, clean, and very well designed.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in years at the Café Bar Lounge City, part of Hotel Pinzger. The next day I went back to talk it over because I wanted to avoid writing a review. The manager looked bitter, insisted I speak German, which I did, then dismissed my concerns as if I’d made the whole thing up. There was no interest in apologizing or clarifying what had happened. I’d visited with my son and a friend to play snooker or table football. The snooker table was unusable because a ball was missing, and staff said they didn’t have the key to fix it. They also asked us not to play because the table blocked the view of a skiing competition, which we accepted. Table football required a money exchange. We waited over 15 minutes while a slow-moving staff member processed just three customer payments, without making eye contact. Then she told me to “wait a second” and walked off to watch the competition. When I asked how much longer, she said, “If you don’t like it here, you can leave.” I expressed my frustration, and she replied, “Go, go away.” The manager saw all of this and did nothing. This bar clearly doesn’t meet 2025 customer treatment standards. I’d avoid it and spend money somewhere that cares about staff behavior and customer satisfaction.
