The family who owns the place is really friendly and knows the area inside out. You get a magnificent view after a mountain road and those extra 3 minutes uphill are totally worth it. In winter, you can pretty much ski in and out, and getting up to the glacier is still a quick ride. Definitely recommend this place!
We were welcomed kindly at the apartment, and the room was all clean and ready with nothing to complain about. We enjoyed dinner too and had a great stay.
We had two adults and two small children in a two-room apartment at the Kuchlerhof. It had everything we needed: two bathrooms, a big living room, a fully equipped kitchen, two balconies, and parking just outside. Admission to the Play Arena is included (as of October 30, 2024). We'd come back anytime.
The morning view is unbeatable, and so much nicer than looking out from a dark hotel room down in town. We loved our stay: the accommodation was super cozy, and the owner lovely. Fresh eggs and milk straight from the farm were delicious. Being so close to the glacier and, in winter, the nearby ski areas is fantastic.
It's peaceful and tucked away, a lovely place to recharge. We could set off on hikes right from the apartment, and the kids enjoyed the small playground just outside. We could watch them easily from the balcony. The view of the Hintertux Glacier was breathtaking, and the holiday apartment was fantastic, spotless, and secluded. The host family were wonderful, warm, and cheerful, which made our stay so special. On request, they bring fresh milk from the alpine pasture, eggs, and bread rolls to the door each morning. We're so grateful for our time there and will definitely be back.
