The hostess was friendly, and we had a pleasant week of winter sports. Our room was spacious and the kitchen was large. The gondola to the Hochoetz ski area is only 10 minutes away.

The owners are friendly and helpful, and there’s a lovely garden with a barbecue hut where you can grill whatever the weather. The apartment itself is in the basement, so there’s no view from inside. It has three adequate bedrooms, though one also serves as the living room and has a 140cm bed. There’s just one small shower room and one toilet, and neither really feels like a bathroom. Each bedroom has a sink, so there are three in all. The kitchen is adequate, but the oven is very slow, taking a good half hour to bake rolls. There’s a dishwasher, though it’s quite old, like the rest of the kitchen. A Billa supermarket with fresh baked goods and a meat and cheese counter is just around the corner. The town center is about a 20-minute walk away.

The apartment was lovely in principle, but being in the basement meant damp problems and a terrible silverfish infestation. We were chasing up to 20 silverfish every evening in each room. It was a shame, as it really affected our holiday.

The owners are really friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean and tidy, and although you enter through the same doorway as the owners, a glass door separates it from the rest of the building.
