The host family put so much care into our stay, especially Gabi, the owner, who really is at the heart of the place and does her best to meet guests' wishes. The rooms were spotless, the food was excellent, and the house sits in a beautiful setting. We had a very pleasant visit.

That cozy dining room makes it easy to stay a while, and the landlady is always friendly and happy to chat. We’ve made a habit of stopping at this inn for a bite after a lap or two on the cross-country trail. The homemade cheese dumpling soup is the best around, and the strudels are delicious. We’re always glad to return.

On our drive home from Istria, we booked one night at the Alpengasthof. Gabi, the owner, welcomed us so warmly that we felt at ease right away. The hotel is surrounded by nature, and we found it clean, hospitable, and serving delicious food. We’d happily recommend it.

The quiet and the view were lovely after our hike. We had delicious food and attentive, friendly service, and didn’t feel we were missing a thing. We’d be glad to come back.
