Haus Plaickner

We were working as security guards there. Although checkout was normally at 10:00, the family let us stay longer without any trouble. They were genuinely friendly, and before we left they gave us a delicious breakfast with homemade jam and honey. The beds felt too hard to me, but everyone’s different, so I’m not taking off any points for that. Thank you again to the Plaickner family for such lovely hospitality. They’re wonderful people.

Spar and the bakery are within walking distance in the village. The apartment was fully equipped and very clean, with beautiful views of the mountains and lake. We spent our summer holiday there as a family with three teenagers, staying with Eva and Stefan and their two teenage kids. They’re lovely, helpful people. It’s a great base for different activities, and getting the Salzburgerland card is a good way for a family to explore the area affordably.

We’ve been staying with this family every January and February for years. The location works really well for reaching Austria’s best ski resorts. We always book an apartment, and supermarkets are conveniently close to the ski resorts.

The apartments are spacious, and the house is beautiful. We got a good price, and the hosts were friendly and helpful, especially when communicating about the reservation.
