This was a very disappointing stay. The room had a musty smell that stayed even after airing it out for several days. That suggests dampness, mold, or bacterial growth to me, and I worry about possible respiratory problems or skin rashes from mold. The advertised photos were 100% misleading. The floors were very dirty, but when I asked to have them cleaned, I was asked whether I'd spilled something and why they needed mopping. The sink faucet only worked when fully opened and flooded almost the whole bathroom, and the shower head wouldn't stay in place, making showering nearly impossible. There was hardly any toilet paper when we arrived. When I asked the landlady for more, she said, "We all need toilet paper." We ended up getting some leftovers from other guests. The light in the so-called sleeping area was broken. The landlady said there was no caretaker and asked another guest, supposedly an electrician, to fix it. No one came, so I found a replacement bulb and changed it myself. Then she spoke rudely to me because the light was working after all. The so-called breakfast buffet was a nightmare, with uninspired shredded bits of ham on a plate and pastries in a cardboard box with a rag inside. At breakfast, the cleaning lady/waiter/housekeeper wouldn't let me sit where I was sitting, apparently because it was the wrong seat. No one gave us any information about breakfast times, seating arrangements, or anything else. The landlady was very rude and didn't know how to behave. I didn't know her, but she kept calling me "sweetie." I didn't want to be her sex toy. That's completely unacceptable and far from professional. The agreed price was €170 for three days, but she wanted €170 per day. I think this place is worth no more than €40 a day. I also didn't receive an invoice, so it's safe to assume the landlady is earning a lot of money under the table. Please think three or ten times before booking here.

We came away feeling completely relaxed. Brigitte, our hostess, is a real gem and quite an original, and Werner was exceptionally kind, a true gentleman. Hats off to you both! I'm already looking forward to September 13th. Kisses to you both!

It's quiet here and there's a great view of Lake Wörthersee. The place was clean and well equipped, and the attentive owners really try to meet every wish and make guests feel welcome. Velden promenade, the lidos, restaurants, and shopping street are about a three-minute drive away, and easy to reach on foot too. There are bikes, table tennis, sun loungers, and more. The atmosphere is friendly and family-like. We'd love to return, and I highly recommend it! :)

The hotel was clean, with friendly staff who were happy to help. Breakfast was adequate. It's a peaceful spot, but Lake Wörthersee and the town center are still within walking distance. We'll definitely be back.
