Haus Hilde made for a great week. The rooms were much more spacious than the outdated website photos suggested, and each had a bathroom and flat-screen TV. Upstairs there are four rooms for eight adults, with an extra bed in two of them for a child, plus a double room downstairs. The kitchen is compact but has everything you need and a bean-to-cup coffee machine. The owner was friendly and helpful. The house is beside the ski school and children's slope, and the gondola is about a 250-meter walk away. It's a large ski area, with buses stopping right outside to reach much of it. We initially struggled to find the house because Google Maps directed us up the mountain, but it is on the road between Der Burger Baron and the ski rental shop, which is right nearby. You can order bread for delivery the day before. Der Burger Baron, just a few meters away, also has fast food and a few groceries. Ski passes are sold at the tourist office nearby. There are two good restaurants near the gondola and further up the mountain, where our group of 10 ate after booking ahead.
