Michael made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. He explained how everything worked clearly, and his language skills made communication easy and pleasant. He was welcoming, professional, patient, and always ready to help with a smile. He left a very positive impression and is a real asset to the hotel.

The atmosphere at A&O Hostel Vienna was lively but still relaxing, and it seemed well suited to travelers and backpackers. It was good value for money, with the basic facilities in place. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in easy. Public transport was easy to reach, and nearby attractions were convenient. I’d recommend it for a budget-friendly stay in Vienna.

I spent five days at A&O Stadthalle Hostel Vienna -Austria and it was one of my worst hostel stays. The room felt old, dull, poorly maintained, and very noisy. The TV was tiny and mounted in an awkward spot below a shelf. The bed was uncomfortable, some lights didn’t work, the bathroom was dirty, and the toilet seat/flip was broken. After showers, the water drained so slowly I had to wait every 2-3 minutes. The room was extremely dusty when we arrived. I told staff, but the window glass stayed dusty and the floor wasn’t properly cleaned. It was so dirty I changed my socks 5-6 times. There wasn’t proper tissue or toilet paper either. Even after daily reminders, they only brought it later. The bed covers and blankets weren’t changed during all five days. When I asked for cleaning, they just took the trash and replaced the toilet paper, without properly cleaning the room. Staff said their cleaning agency didn’t do deep cleaning, but that shouldn’t be the guest’s problem. Service was almost nonexistent from the start. It was very disappointing for a five-day stay. Management needs to improve cleanliness, maintenance, room quality, and customer service. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Denis was particularly helpful, always active and ready to assist. The private room itself was very basic, just a bed and table, with no cupboard or storage. The bathroom was small but manageable. The shared kitchen was in terrible shape, and didn’t even have an electric kettle. I’d only stay here for a night or two at most. I made the mistake of booking the Stadthalle branch without knowing there was another a&0 branch just outside Vienna Central Station. This location is far from the city centre and hard to reach. I asked to move my booking to the Central Station branch, but they wouldn’t allow it.
