The location is perfect and it's quiet, and the beds are pretty good. Someone definitely tried to clean, but the place was dusty to the uttermost and desperately needs refurbishing. The room was so cold the hallway felt warmer, and the dangerous electric heater only semi-worked and had one leg attached. Hot water took 10 minutes to come through, so it was a cold shower while waiting. Outside light blasted into the room all night; the curtains were too narrow to block it, though long enough to become a carpet. Some plugs didn't work, the bathroom had no big mirror, and the towel holder was broken on the floor. Decent for the price? Maybe, but it's not well maintained. Not really child friendly, and a bit weird. Would I come again? No, thanks. If saving money and being in a convenient location are what you want, it's a great choice.

The self-check-in worked well and it was easy to get downtown. The room was big enough for us, since we mainly used it for sleeping. It was very cheap and in a very nice location, so I didn't expect much. A bit dirty and crusty, but fine for two nights.

Once you're inside your room, there isn't much wrong with the hotel. Getting in is the problem: having no reception is an abysmal way to run a hotel, so avoid this place if you want a stress-free holiday. They said they'd send an entry code, but that only seems to work remotely if you booked through booking.com, which I hadn't. There's a number to call for problems. I was lucky and got an answer after five minutes. Someone I helped the next day waited on the line for 25 minutes without an answer. Whoever owns this hotel shouldn't be in the hospitality business.

For a one-night stay when you just want a decent place to sleep, this might work. The basic room felt a bit expensive for what it was, and the window in my room was defective. The booking app hadn't given me the self-check-in instructions, but thankfully a staff member helped me inside.
