Arion Cityhotel Vienna

It's cheap, very clean, and quiet, both in the hotel and around the neighborhood. The main problem for us was smoke from people smoking regular cigarettes and weed in their rooms, which spread into the hallway. The insulation is amazing, though, so you can't smell it in your own room if it's coming from outside. There's a bus stop about 100 meters away, connecting to the tram and U6.

Mohammed at reception handled my problem quickly and saved me a lot of hassle. He combined our two separate room bookings into one continuous stay, so we didn't need to check out and check in again. It was smooth and stress-free. He was helpful, professional, and efficient. Really appreciated the excellent service.

The hotel is an unusual find, since dial-up internet seems to exist in Vienna, about 7 km from the city centre, anyway. I got online just long enough to write this. A single webpage took so long to load that I could have listened to all of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and still had time to eat a Wiener schnitzel.

The rooms could be cleaner, and we had trouble with the sink plumbing. Soundproofing between rooms could also be better. Still, it's an okay place for a couple of nights. The location works well if you're driving, and public transport is good too, so getting to the city center is pretty quick.
