Augarten Residences

We booked a room for four adults and an infant so my parents could look after my baby while my friend and I went to the Taylor Swift concert. When it was cancelled because of a terrorist attack threat, we contacted Augarten Residences to ask to reschedule. We weren’t asking for a refund and were willing to pay the price difference or a fee. They turned us down online twice. I didn’t feel safe taking my son to a city where a planned terror attack had been confirmed. We called and spoke to a woman named Iris. She said she’d call us back, but instead blocked our number and never responded to the request. Later, Booking rejected my review. It made me feel that Booking sides with providers over customers. Be careful about relying on the ratings.

Our reason for going to Vienna disappeared when the Taylor Swift concert was cancelled because of a planned terrorist attack, and we ended up not traveling. We had a one-night booking with Augarten Residences. We asked if they could reschedule it, and were open to paying a reasonable fee so the €500 booking wouldn’t go to waste. Iris spoke with us by phone and said she’d help arrange a new date. They then blocked us and never got back to us, keeping the money. They weren’t willing to help, and the way they handled it felt greedy, selfish and almost entirely without compassion.
