Christiano Apartments

Seven months after paying a deposit, I'm still waiting for it back. At first they promised a full refund, but now they ignore my emails and calls, so I'm left considering legal action. The staff seemed disorganized and incompetent, and from other reviews, it sounds like mine may not be an unusual experience. The place was far too expensive for what you got: slightly broken furniture, poor cleanliness, a strong cigarette smell throughout and lots of noise. A really awful stay, book somewhere else.

We spent three hours there and were charged the full price. My child was bitten by bedbugs in a separate crib we had paid extra for, and at 1AM we had to find another hotel. The hotel manager talked warmly about humanity, 15 years of reputation and a refund, but none of that came through. We only got beeping on the phone, then our number was blocked. We stayed for four nights, from 23.09.2024 to 27.09.2024, and found bedbugs in the beds in apartment Nr. ### on the first night. Since we were traveling with a young child and didn't want to risk a possible health issue, we contacted the manager immediately and moved to another hotel. The manager said a full refund couldn't be processed until Booking released the payment on 24.09.2024, and asked for my bank details, which I provided. After that, communication became difficult. They ignored our Booking chat messages and direct calls for a week, then offered to refund 50%. By 07.10.2024, weeks had passed and we still hadn't received anything. The apartment no longer answered calls, and one of our numbers seemed to be blocked. Booking.com said it wasn't their responsibility and wasn't helpful in resolving this. For future trips, check recent reviews across several platforms, including Google and TripAdvisor. I hope this helps other travelers have a smoother stay.

We were four friends at Christiano Apartments from August 8-11, 2024, and the three of us who slept in the upstairs bedroom were covered in bedbug bites during and after the stay. We reported it to Booking.com and asked for a refund and proof that Christiano Apartments had dealt with the infestation. Booking.com said that as an intermediary it couldn't hold Christiano Apartments responsible, though it did give us a small partial refund. Christiano Apartments has refused to acknowledge what happened, so it seems reasonable to think the bedbugs may still be there. We strongly recommend avoiding the property. We have photos of the bites and records from two doctors confirming they came from bedbugs. Booking.com also suggested we write this review to alert future guests.
