Citadines South Vienna

We had a really enjoyable four-day stay with my family, and I hope we can come back soon. The room was very large and clean, and the pantry had lots of things. I cleaned our room myself, which didn't matter to me. The staff were great and friendly. I was impressed by their attitude, and they were from ASEAN, like us. We needed an extra bed brought to our room from the airport. Finding a hotel from there was difficult because we had to change trams three times. The hotel is near the tram and it's easy to find a halal store. From Malaysia 🇲🇾, 10/10! 🛌🚊🧼

The staff were friendly and supportive throughout my stay. Breakfast was nicely prepared with a good range of options, though at €18-19 per person it felt expensive, especially for children who probably won't eat enough to make the price worthwhile. My room faced a six-lane main road, and the windows didn't keep out the traffic noise well enough for a good night's sleep. The place is acceptable, but in my view it doesn't live up to the four-star standard advertised at the entrance. It could work for a short business stop, but seems less suited to a holiday or other medium-length stay.

The apartment was spacious and fabulous, with a Lidl less than a two-minute walk away and a cafe nearby. The ladies at the front desk weren't very approachable, though. We waited 30 minutes to check in while two of them helped one family with things to do in Vienna.

This place was terrible for me because it was saturated with artificial scents, from diffusers to sprays and everything else. There was so much perfume that I wondered what smells it might be covering up. It doesn't seem normal to scent rooms that heavily, especially in Austria, which is usually health-conscious. Anyone with a lung problem should stay well away from this hotel.
