Easy Vienna 15

The main drawback during our six nights in Dec’2024 was the lack of housekeeping. I can understand skipping it for a stay of one or two nights, but six nights felt long enough that the service was needed. I hope the owner or operator considers this feedback. The flat had two rooms, a kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet. We didn’t use the kitchenware, but there were plates, cutlery and a pan, plus a refrigerator, washing machine, heating and dishwasher. The building itself is a little old, though the flat has been renovated for hotel use. It’s also very close to the U-bahn station on line U3.

The location was good, but the service was terrible, especially for the higher-than-average price, four-star rating and very good reviews, which didn’t match what we experienced. I’ve stayed in Vienna before and found the owners there took their work seriously. This was unacceptable. Getting help was very difficult. There’s no reception, and phone conversations were almost impossible because the staff didn’t speak proper English. Check-in was supposed to be by 16:00, but we got the code around 16:30. We were short 2/3 towels, and there were no sheets for the sofa bed. They arrived the next morning after we called, but they weren’t clean. We also had to phone for more shampoo and body gel for the three of us for all three nights, since nobody came. The heating didn’t work. Staff recommended using the AC because the thermostat was broken, even though it was 8C outside. The bathroom radiator was rusty and dirty, and other spots in the apartment were dirty too. We weren’t given a feet towel for the shower, just a hand towel that was too dirty to use for hands. The shower leaked so much that water ran under the bathroom door into the hallway. Also, the bedroom door couldn’t close even partway because the floor held it wide open.

The host was extremely hospitable and helped whenever needed. The apartment is in a prestigious, quiet, wealthy district and has been renovated recently. It was furnished with everything we needed, including detergent for the washing machine and dishwasher, and coffee machine capsules. Entry to both the building and apartment uses digital chips, so random people can’t get in. The U1 stop is a six-minute walk away, tram 9 is two minutes away, and at least four supermarkets are within a five-minute walk.

There’s a supermarket nearby, and the subway station is close, making it easy to get to the city center. The apartment was clean and had all the equipment needed for a Vienna stay, including a dishwasher, washing machine, and cooking supplies.
