Ferienwohnung Diefenbachgasse

The apartment was cozy, clean, and really nice. It was close to public transport, so I’d generally recommend it, but the building needs renovation while keeping its traditional look, and the apartment could use a few more details. There was a large closet, but not enough hangers for four people, and the kitchen didn’t have enough glasses. There was an extra pillow, but no pillowcase for it. The shower had nowhere to put shampoo or shower gel, and there wasn’t a single hook by the wash basin for a hand or face towel. The front door lock didn’t work properly and stayed open day and night, which made us feel insecure. The building’s interior was shabby, with worn stairs and a mouse box trap that made us watch out for unwelcome visitors.

The location was the only good thing about these apartments. On arrival, we found an old, creepy building with the outside being refurbished. Damp smell filled the flat, and the sofa smelled like it had just been pulled from the bins. The shower head was broken, so I had to ask my wife to hold it for me. It was very noisy with the windows open, day or night. My tip: there’s a hotel three minutes away on foot for about the same price per night, but with much better quality.

The apartment was comfortable and clean inside. It’s very close to the U-Bahn and near groceries, medical services, and all the shops you need.
