Florum Hotel

Even for just one night, I had a really pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable, and both the room and modern bathroom were clean and well cared for. Everything felt comfortable and well organized. I’d consider staying here again.

The staff were polite and tried to help, but the rest of our two-night stay was very disappointing. We were traveling between Prague and Budapest and didn’t spend much time choosing a hotel. We regretted that as soon as we arrived. The bathroom was dirty and smelled strongly of damp. The shower had only an old curtain instead of a proper door, so the whole room got wet and messy after using it. We were worried about our little daughter in what felt like an unhealthy environment. The sheets also looked as though they hadn’t been changed, with hair and dust on them. The radiator barely worked, and there wasn’t even a phone in the room to call reception. The elevator was very old and felt unsafe. To reach it from the lobby, you first had to climb 5-6 steps, which was especially difficult with luggage.

From the street and in the pictures, the place looked much better than it did inside. The rooms and hotel have been updated, but the renovation feels cheap and unfinished. The bathrooms got only a tiny facelift and still look dated, and the hairdryer barely works. The appliances are loud, and the hallways are strange. You can find much better places in Vienna for a similar price.

The hotel was mediocre for the price, and there are nicer options in the same range, closer to markets. The room included a free bottle of wine, but we only got it on our last night after asking for two days. The coffee pot came with coffee and sugar only on the first day, even though it was in the room. Maybe they expect guests to use the restaurant on site. The location was fine, with a cute restaurant across the street and a great bakery down the road. It was Sunday when they ran out of toilet paper.
