For what I paid, I really have nothing to complain about. The room was comfortable and clean, with useful facilities including a TV, kettle, fridge, and microwave. The corridors were clean and quiet too. The radiators made quite a bit of noise at night, but that was the only issue.

I spent New Year’s Eve 2023 in Vienna at Pension Kasper and had a wonderful time. The staff were attentive, helpful, and always around to offer advice and help make the holiday enjoyable. The pension is in Favoriten, in the south of Vienna, but the U1 gets you to Sthefan Platz in under 12 minutes without changing trains. The rooms were warm, very comfortable, and spotless, and the mattress made for a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was a generous buffet in a cozy, homey room downstairs, with fresh bread, quality juices, cold cuts, cheese, vegetables, eggs, and sweet options too. It was a lovely way to start the day. The value for money was excellent as well. I love Vienna and will definitely return to Pension Kasper. I felt right at home.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. I had a single room in the attic with a TV, refrigerator, kettle, and microwave, though there were no dishes. I only shared the bathroom with one other room. The guesthouse doesn’t currently offer breakfast. It’s a bit out of the way, but about a 30-minute walk from the main train station. You can also take the U1 to Neulaa and then bus 16A to Rosiwalgasse. There’s a restaurant diagonally across the street that I highly recommend, with an inexpensive lunch menu. I can’t comment on the schnitzel stand inside, though it also has an inexpensive daily dish. I had a little trouble with the front door at first, but once you get the hang of it, it works fine. I was looking for affordable accommodation for New Year’s Eve in Vienna.

The owner was friendly and very helpful, and I’ll definitely come back. The rooms were spacious, very well maintained, and had everything I needed.
