GAL Apartments Vienna

We came back to GAL Apartments for a second stay, and it was just as good as the first. Communication with the host was friendly and smooth, and check-in was easy. The apartment was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed, with thoughtful touches that made it feel welcoming. It’s in a quiet, safe spot with very good public transport links, so getting around Vienna was easy. We’ll happily return and recommend it to other visitors.

We ended up carrying our luggage around Vienna until 3 p.m., when we left for the airport. The nearby train station had only a few lockers and they were all occupied. At Vienna Main Station it was worse, with more than 100 people looking desperately for a free locker. This happened because we asked to leave our bags at the apartment on Sunday and were told nobody worked that day, so it wasn’t possible. Staff suggested using the station lockers, but that wasn’t a workable solution. There are ways to let guests into a luggage room without staff on site, just as we received the apartment key without anyone handing it to us. An access code could have helped.

The flat was spotless, and staff were always on hand to help with whatever we needed. It’s just two U-Bahn stops from the center. There are excellent breakfast and brunch places nearby, so you don’t even need to make your own. Highly recommended.

The staff made things easy. We used WhatsApp to communicate and got very quick replies. Lisa checked us in and was friendly and helpful. We arrived much earlier than check-in, so the apartment wasn’t ready, but Lisa kindly brought our luggage there while we were out. Having luggage storage on our Friday arrival and Monday departure was a big help, and the advent calendar at reception was a lovely touch. The flat itself was spacious, warm, and comfortable, with everything we needed for three nights. It’s close enough to walk to the center, but far enough away to stay quiet. We didn’t hear the street or neighboring flats, and we felt safe. Public transport connections are good too. I’d stay again without hesitation.
