Grätzlhotel Serviten

We’ve stayed with Urbanauts and Gratzlhotel several times and have always been happy with them. This one had a little garden for sitting outside, and it’s in a lovely part of Vienna. The rooms are beautiful, the staff are always kind and ready to help, and it’s pet-friendly, including for cats. We’d recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay.

The bed was comfortable, and both the apartment and building were quiet. I also really liked the courtyard. But a few basic cleaning details made the stay unpleasant: the kitchen towel was stained and had hair on it, and there were stains in the toilet bowl. Dust had built up on parts of the wardrobe and kitchen shelves. The coffee machine still had used capsules inside. The complimentary sparkling water (“prickelnd”) seemed to have been opened already, so it had gone flat, or perhaps had been refilled with tap water. These small things are

Room 901, the Captain Room, was a great choice. It had the best comfort and amenities.

The apartment was poorly cleaned, and the layout made privacy difficult. It used to be a shop on a sidewalk, so opening the window meant passersby could see into the bedroom if the curtains were open. I had a terrible stay, with customer service not responding to the problems I ran into. I spent the whole evening calling. I wouldn’t recommend it.
