Hanna Apartment

After a long trip, we were left out on the street with the children. We came as two families with small children. The hosts let us bring our luggage in, then delayed check-in until 2:00 PM. When that time came, they refused us entry and explicitly gave a national characteristic as their reason. We found that discriminatory treatment unacceptable. The owners acted unprofessionally and showed no basic respect or equal treatment. I can't recommend this accommodation to anyone.

Mrs. Hanna was warm, friendly, and helpful. The spacious apartment had a well-stocked kitchen, and there's free parking on site. It's in a quiet, green area near the train station, so getting to the city center is quick.

We couldn't quite decide between three and four stars. At first glance, things looked good, but closer up the cleanliness wasn't great and the furniture seemed pretty worn. The queen-size bed isn't suitable for two people, and that's not because of its width. The location is a bit unusual, though nearby bus and train links make it easy to reach the city center and Bratislava.

Public transport is convenient, and you can get anywhere in the city in 10 minutes using train and subway. The apartment is nice, though the setting is dated. The owner is very kind, but has a few quirks, like asking guests to go barefoot throughout the house. The bathroom has a lovely shower but no bidet, unfortunately common in Austria, and the sink is far too small.
