The breakfast buffet was a real highlight, with lots of different options and everything you could want to start the day. Our room was warm, cozy, and comfortable, and the hotel was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful too. The location made getting around Vienna very easy, with the metro and railway station close by. My only issue was that the room had no small fridge or minibar. I was traveling with medication that needed to stay cool, so one would have been very helpful. Otherwise, we had a very pleasant stay and I truly enjoyed it.

The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. It was cleaned every day, though I’m not sure that was really needed. The hotel was also quiet, and the location was good, with direct access to the city center and station. But costs could climb quickly with things that might usually come with a 4-star hotel. We had to leave a 10€ deposit for a second room key. There was no water bottle or fridge in the room, and when I went down at night to ask for a kettle to heat water for tea, I was told it cost 17€ per night, including, I guess, tea bags and coffee powder. Breakfast was 25€ per person. Luckily, I found a local café where I could get sandwiches, ham, cheese, a croissant, and juice for 9€. There was no iron in the room either. I was able to borrow one and carry it up with an ironing board, but had to leave a 50€ deposit, which I got back when I returned the equipment. There were only four hangers for shirts or coats, so I put mine on the sofa to keep them straight. The corner windows didn’t have proper blinds and let in a lot of light even with the shutter down. I left with very mixed feelings.

We had a mix-up with our room, but they sorted it out the next day by offering better alternatives. Helda was wonderful and made sure we were settled and comfortable. The hotel is near public transport, grocery stores, and halal food. I would have given it five stars if the room had a kettle and minibar. They should consider adding those.

I had a very disappointing stay at Roomz Vienna Prater. I arrived with a prepaid Agoda reservation, but the hotel said it hadn’t received the money and made me pay again at a higher rate. They assured me they would sort it out and refund me, even asking for my bank details to “reassure” me, but nothing was resolved during my stay. When I followed up later, they blamed their “provider” and washed their hands of it. If a hotel lets a third party sell its rooms, it is still responsible for the service. They seemed concerned only with collecting the full room price. For a 4-star hotel, the room was missing basics too. The sink drain was clogged, there was no minibar or even a bottle of water, and I couldn’t get a drink during the night. Poor management and customer care. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

We’ve already been here for four days, and the bedsheets still haven’t been changed. By nearly 3:00 PM, neither of our two rooms had been cleaned. For two days, the hotel couldn’t provide bath towels, so we had to use hand towels after showering. The internet in our rooms has been very poor and unreliable. The rooms are also missing basics like a coffee machine, fridge, slippers, and laundry bags. The restaurant menu is extremely limited. When our daughter felt unwell and our thermometer broke, we asked to borrow one, but the hotel didn’t have one available. This experience hasn’t met our expectations, and unfortunately we won’t be coming back.
