The apartment’s location is handy, close to both the metro and bus station. Getting inside on our first evening was a different story: we’d received lots of instructions beforehand, but none said how to enter once the main gate shut after a certain time. We were left stranded after dinner, though luckily there was an emergency number we could call for directions. HeyMi Apartments 18A is in a beautiful old building with a gorgeous monumental staircase, plus an elevator for suitcases. The apartment sleeps five, with two double bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living room. That room is spacious and lovely, with a high ceiling. There are two bathrooms, a small ensuite off the big bedroom and a larger one by the entrance. The beds were harder than I like, and the mattresses didn’t seem good quality, so I didn’t sleep as well as I’d hoped. When all five of us showered, the last person was left with cold water several times. The first people should keep their showers short if everyone wants hot water.

There are several supermarkets nearby for essentials, and the office staff were friendly with great communication online. The location is ideal for exploring Vienna on foot, with public transport stops just across the road for going farther afield. We’ll definitely stay again if we visit Vienna.

A lovely Austro-Hungarian building and apartment, with all of Vienna’s sights within easy reach. It felt like a real Vienna experience.

We loved this appartment. We stayed in room 15B for 2 nights, and found it spacious, clean, nicely decorated and equipped with everything we needed. The man at the ground floor office was really helpful and nice. We could leave our bags there before checkin and head out to explore. He even offered to bring them to our room if we weren’t back before the office closed, so we could take our time. It’s a little outside the main city centre, but an easy walk, and buses, trams and the underground just outside make getting around quick. Perfect stay.
