Hotel Pension Museum

We had a small issue, but the staff sorted it out right away and gave us great service. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the Museum Quartier, with most attractions within walking distance. I'd suggest having breakfast there too!

Hotel-Pension Museum is conveniently located, but the bathroom has some real drawbacks. It's very small, and the shower is badly designed. The glass panel doesn't keep the water in, so the whole floor gets wet. They also provide no drinking water for guests, not even a dispenser or fountain to refill from, and there's no complimentary bottled water. That makes a stay inconvenient and uncomfortable, especially for travellers.

We booked at the last minute and were really pleased with what we got for the price. The included breakfast was a rich and delicious open buffet, and we could take as much as we wanted. Our clean, spacious room was in a separate building on a back street, but that didn't cause any problems. It had an amazing balcony that we hadn't known about when we booked. There was a fan running in the bathroom, which kept it from getting stuffy, and a coffee machine in the corridor that was available at all times and made really tasty coffee. I was very satisfied and highly recommend it to everyone. There's absolutely nothing I can complain about.

Behrouz was the highlight for us. We saw him each morning, and he was always cheerful, helpful, and ready with tips. He clearly cared about guests having a good stay. The room was spacious, with a lovely view of Vienna’s architecture, and breakfast was simple but enough. Rest was harder. The floorboards creaked even with light steps, the fridge motor was loud as it switched on and off, and using the tap or shower set off a pumping noise in the walls, apparently from nearby rooms too. There’s no safe in the room, which was inconvenient for valuables and travel documents. Also, you have to climb about 10 stairs from ground level to reach the lift, awkward with heavy suitcases. Staff are available around the clock to open the shared lounge on level 1, where tea and coffee are free. It would be more convenient to have a kettle and basic tea and coffee in the room. We stayed here while visiting Vienna, and there were some good points, but the noise and other inconveniences left a lot to be desired.
