ibis Wien City

Breakfast was the highlight for me. I love Austrian sweet and savory pastries, and there was also a nice selection of hot food and quite good coffee. The breakfast room was pleasant and roomy, and we always found a table. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We asked for a room facing the inner courtyard based on other reviews, and it was the quietest room I’ve ever stayed in. I woke up well rested every morning because the bed was comfortable. The room was a good size and clean, though the rooms are older and need renovation. The closet is tucked into a strange corner and isn’t practical for clothes, and some wall hooks for jackets would be useful. It’s a great budget hotel in a safe area, about a seven minute walk to the metro. From there, the city centre is less than ten minutes away, and a big Billa supermarket is close by. I’d definitely recommend it. We took photos of the room before checkout, so don’t mind the bed :)

We arrived late with our kid, and they had an extra room, upgrading us from a two-person to a three-person room. I can’t thank them enough. The room was big and so clean, and the hospitality won our hearts. Best experience ever, the hotel’s quality is hard to find somewhere else. I’d recommend it to everyone. Don’t hesitate, just book.

Denis checked us in ahead of schedule and was fantastic. He explained everything clearly and made us feel welcome. I had a wonderful time at ibis Wien City and highly recommend the hotel!

The reception team were friendly and helpful, and the rooms are comfortable and spacious for one person or a couple. The location is good, though it’s not especially close to the main public transport stations. It’s certainly an acceptable place for a couple of days.
