This family run hotel is clean and friendly, with old fashioned decor and spacious, warm rooms that have what you need, including daily cleaning and fresh towels. Getting into central Vienna is easy by tram or underground, and transport from the airport is straightforward. It’s very reasonably priced. I think the negative reviews overlook the good value for the price.

The friendly staff helped make this a decent stay for two nights, and the price was good. It’s an older, dated hotel, and getting into central Vienna by public transport was a bit of a pain, though doable. The location was just okay: the area felt rather dead, and there was a lot of street construction. Billa was nearby, with a few food places around, though the better options seemed five or six blocks farther west. My first floor room was a good size and faced the back of the hotel. There was no view, but it was quiet. The room was clean, and the heat worked well when I got cold on the second night. There was plenty of space and hooks for hanging clothes, plus somewhere to put my suitcase. The bathroom was a good size and had a tub, though I’m not a tub person, and showering with the handheld head was awkward. There wasn’t much counter space. They did provide free cotton ear swabs and make-up remover pads. The TV wasn’t great. I didn’t mind there being just one or two English speaking channels, but the soccer players looked tiny from the bed. Watching from the desk meant craning my neck because the TV was so high. The Wi-Fi wasn’t very good either. One thing that left a bad taste: there was apple juice that wasn’t very tasty and sparkling water on the desk when I arrived. I assumed they were complimentary, as at a few other hotels, but I was charged 4.20 euro at checkout. I’d missed the note on the back of a room brochure, so it wasn’t very obvious. If they charge for those, they should make that clearer.

We were welcomed by nice staff, and someone was available at the entrance 24/7. Our room was cleaned every day during our stay. I’d recommend the place.

The manager was kind and apologized about the internet, then gave us the Wi-Fi codes without charging extra. That was the only helpful response in a very bad two night stay at the Mozart Hotel, which started badly from the moment we arrived. There were four of us, but the short haired blonde receptionist was negative and rude. She asked for extra money for room Wi-Fi, then put us in rooms far apart, on the third and fifth floors. One room hadn’t been cleaned. When I went to tell her, she was on the phone and didn’t even look up. She just handed me another key, without so much as an apology. The second day, I left the bathroom light on when we went out. When I came back that evening, the cleaner had entered the room just to switch it off. She had fully cleaned one room. In the other, she’d folded the towels we’d used the day before without washing them, and turned off the bathroom light.

We stayed three nights at hotel mozart and it was a great experience. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. It looks a bit old and isn’t especially luxurious, but it is a three star hotel, and I can’t complain since everything was comfortable.
