Bring cash, since most fruit and vegetable stalls don’t take cards, even though some shops do. The produce is locally sourced, fresher and cheaper than what you’ll find in supermarkets. There’s a broad range of fruit and vegetables, plus eggs, meat, spices, dried fruit, nuts, international products, and ready-to-eat bites like kebab and pizza throughout the day. You can also get pantry items such as canned food. Milk, butter, and bread are only sold on weekend mornings, along with wine and artisan goods like honey and some special bakery items.
