Oliver Apartments

The bed was the best I've ever slept on, and the rooms were clean and nice with good air conditioning. Getting checked in couldn't be simpler. There are buses, trams, and a metro nearby, a grocery store right across from the hotel, and a Lidl close by too. Most museums and attractions are within walking distance. Honestly, a perfect 10/10 hotel experience. There's nothing more I could ask for.

Our 2.5-year-old loved it just as much as we did. The room was quiet and clean, and three metro lines are close by. We stayed at Oliver in August and would choose it again on another trip to Vienna.

The long wait at the only check-in terminal was frustrating, and other guests seemed to be having similar trouble. My online pre-check-in failed, the door wouldn't open remotely after several tries, and when I came back, the terminal couldn't find my reservation. I called the hotline and was repeatedly cut off, spoken to rudely, and one employee abruptly hung up. On my second call, they still didn't take my concerns seriously and blamed me again instead of acknowledging what had happened. I received no apology for the technical problems or the way I was treated. Technical issues happen, but the customer service was disrespectful and unprofessional.

My girlfriend is partially sighted and uses a white cane, and she found it easy to get around here. There are no steps at the entrance, the hallways are well lit, and she could see the lift's large buttons clearly. We also liked the location, between two metro stations about a ten-minute walk away. Either gets you to central Vienna in under 15 minutes, and there are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby, plus a discount supermarket across the road. The staff were fantastic, check-in was easy, and the rooms were a good size and cleaned really well every day. The bathroom was practical, with a great warm shower and good pressure. A couple of things bothered me: in room 308, I hit my head a few times on the low light above the table. I'm 6 feet, or 184 cm, so not especially tall. The walls or ceiling also seemed a bit thin, since I woke up a few times to someone walking in the room above. At checkout, the system couldn't find me. I assume it had checked me out automatically because I tried a few minutes after 11. Oliver Like Home was a brilliant place to stay. I'd happily recommend it and come back.
