Prize by Radisson, Vienna City

The hotel was budget friendly, clean, and hospitable, and we had a good buffet breakfast. My wife and I stayed for three nights. It is very close to Alfred Tram station, about 100 meters away, and the train station is around 200 meters away. The trip between the hotel and the airport takes about 13 minutes by direct transfer. WiFi is free but slow. Toiletries were limited, and there was no refrigerator or electric kettle.

Great value in a really handy spot. Wien HBF, Belvedere, and a great History museum are just a few minutes away on foot, while Tram D gets you to st Stephen in a few minutes. The room was modern, roomy, and comfortable, with a strong shower and plenty of hot water. They had complimentary tea and coffee during breakfast hours, and the front desk stored my luggage before check-in. Highly recommended.

We had a really good family stay at Prize by Radisson Vienna. The rooms were stylish and comfortable, the hotel felt modern and clean, breakfast was good, and the staff we met were friendly and professional. It was also easy to get to the city center by public transport. The one snag came when we arrived around midnight. There isn't a person at reception overnight, and everything is automated, so we had to wait for a cleaning staff member to come and let us in. Aside from that, we'd happily stay again.

We booked five rooms for three nights for eight adults and four children. The only real advantage was being close to Vienna station. Service was awful. Reception staff acted as if checking guests in was a favor, and after we had waited patiently for two hours for our rooms, they threatened to call the police when we asked about them. We eventually got a connecting room after waiting three hours, but they could not promise our children's safety without one. There was no water or hot water kettle in the rooms. After breakfast, guests have to take glasses and plates to reception and return them there because the hotel says it doesn't have enough staff. I would not recommend this place to families, or to anyone wanting a peaceful stay in Vienna.
