Room 55

We had a lovely time here. The rooms are modern and very clean, and the woman managing the place was friendly and helpful. We arrived an hour before check-in and she let us into our room. There’s no reception and no breakfast, but access is simple, and you can use the kitchen to make your own breakfast with the coffee and tea provided. It’s about a 20-30 minute walk to the center, which we enjoyed because we got to see the beautiful city. Hauptbahnhof is only around a 10-minute drive away.

The only thing that bothered us was the ground-floor rooms: people walk right past the big windows all day, so you can see and hear them. We kept the curtains shut and were fine with it. Otherwise, it’s great value for money. The room was spacious, clean, modern, and fairly priced. Pilgramgasse is nearby, with a 10-15 minute ride into the center, and the 13A bus goes to the main station in about 15 minutes. Naschmarkt and lots of good restaurants are also within walking distance. The owner was quick to respond, very helpful, and had even written a little guide to the area and city. The cleaning lady is a gem and kept everything spotless. There’s fast Wi-Fi and a common area with free coffee and tea, including milk and oat milk, where you can make breakfast. There are also some nice cafés nearby for snacks and coffee. I’d recommend it and would stay again.

I love booking Room 55 for friends and family. It’s quiet, friendly, and has really nice, clean rooms and a great host. The coffee area has everything you need for breakfast. A lovely place to rest and create in Vienna!

Room 55 was such a comfortable place to stay. The room was very clean, and the curtains kept it dark. With the A/C running, I slept like a baby. The location is great too, with the U4 and buses, cafés, restaurants, and thrift stores nearby, while still being away from the tourist traps. Small things like an iron and ironing board, hair dryer, hangers, and a shared kitchen made a big difference to my comfort. I could also leave my luggage after checkout. Thanks to Anita for keeping the place clean, and to the manager for answering my questions and communicating so well!
