Royal Living Apartments

We spent three nights here with our three kids and were happy with the accommodation. It was quiet at night, and the elevator was useful. Tram 1 is very close and goes to all the main attractions. The beds were very comfortable, though the facilities felt maybe too modern for us, and we didn’t know how to use the cooktop at first. We got it not working twice, but management fixed it each time we called. There’s an Aldi (Hofer) about two minutes away, so we could buy discounted food. Booking directly through Royal Living Apartments saved us around 13 euros because the booking website wouldn’t accept our credit card.

We paid for the studio after booking, then were told there was an extra 39 euro cleaning fee. The cleaning was poor anyway, with dirty walls and floor, and a broken TV remote. I told the host, but she did nothing to fix it. We had to leave early due to a special situation and asked for a refund for the unused booked period. She never replied. The host hasn't communicated with us.

At 2am we woke up itching and found bedbugs in the bed: small blood spots and oval bugs on the sheets. The couch was infested too. I slept on the table with a towel, my mom used four chairs lined up, and my dad slept on the floor. There were about 10-15 bugs on each blanket. We left early and booked a room at the nearest hotel. I wish I’d seen a review like this before deciding to stay, and hope Royal washes the sheets after every stay. I’m NEVER booking here again.

The apartments were clean and spacious, and parking was right at the house. We left the car there and used public transport, which connects really well to the city. Great value for money. I recommend it and will definitely return!
