Getting around Vienna was easy from here, with major sightseeing and arts spots within walking distance. The staff were great about answering my questions and helping me find my way during a short visit. I also really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which was better than I expected. A lovely little boutique hotel, and I’d happily come back.

The bathroom needed attention, especially the broken showerhead, but the room was clean and had free WiFi. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Karlsplatz and Resselpark are both walkable. Breakfast had loads of cereal and different cheeses, plus soy milk, which I’d never seen at a hotel before. They also put out cakes, tea and punch at reception each afternoon. The website says it’s just for the afternoon, but we usually found it there almost until midnight.

The room was tiny, with no air conditioning or room service. I’d booked four nights, but ended up not staying even one.
