SKY9 Apartment City Center

We spent eight nights at Sky9 Apartments Cty Center and had a memorable stay. The location made it easy to get around the city, with public transport nearby and a supermarket across the road. Despite that, it was very quiet. The rooms were fairly large and clean, and having a separate bathroom and toilet was convenient for both of us. The service was extraordinary too. When I mentioned that the frying pans were scratched, they arranged two brand-new ones without much delay.

SKY9 made this a disastrous experience. I booked ahead for an event, then got repeated emails saying my card wasn’t verified and trying to cancel the reservation. Once they finally cancelled it, the price for the same date had gone up threefold. It seemed to me they were trying to cash in on the event after realizing demand was higher. The staff didn’t seem concerned about customer satisfaction. Avoid SKY9 apartments. There are better places where they won’t try to rip you off.

We often travel to European capitals and tend to choose intimate places instead of big hotels, so we can compare them with other stays. This apartment was especially clean and tastefully furnished, and the host was very kind about check-in. Most things looked brand new or unused, and the facilities exceeded what we expected, including a dishwasher and laundry. The biggest surprise was how close the subway was, less than a two-minute walk. The U3 line reaches many points of interest in the city center, so even though the neighborhood was quiet, we could get to the center in 10 minutes. For location, it’s five stars on any scale.

The bed was soft, and the towels and duvet were clean. That was the best part. Most other things were just okay, and some were gross. We wouldn’t recommend this for a short stay. If you’re renting for a year, you could probably fix these issues yourself. The map pin is wrong, so you can plan around the wrong location. They require your ID and other details ahead of time, plus a large deposit weeks before arrival, even though the booking is already non-refundable. Entry was refused without all the information and deposit, although other places would accept cash or ID instead. The deposit took over a week to come back, and it wasn’t the same amount. When I asked why, they ignored me for days. I felt they waited for a bad exchange rate so they’d benefit while I lost more on the return. They should be charging, not keeping part of the money. We paid a cleaning fee, but the place wasn’t clean and supplies weren’t replenished. We took photos when we arrived to document the condition and avoid damage claims. The AC was disgusting and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. It would be simple to clean, but I didn’t want to do that for a stay of a few nights. Bring slippers because the floor was really dirty. There was nothing to clean with, though we could at least have vacuumed and mopped where we walked.
