We hosted a formal dinner for 42 people at Hotel Stefanie restaurant for a Univesity Alumni event. The guests and we as organisers were very pleased with the location, food, and service. Event Manager Jennifer Kuba was outstanding. I'd highly recommend the restaurant for a company event, and we hope it will be available if a similar occasion comes up again! ☺️

I had a lovely, peaceful night at this beautiful hotel in Vienna, Austria. It was calm and relaxing, and the hotel was clean, comfortable, and well organized. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and professional, always ready to help with a smile. Breakfast had a nice range of fresh options and was very good. Thanks for such a nice stay. I'd definitely recommend it.

For about $900, I expected something very different from this double room with a courtyard. The queen bed was nearly pressed against the walls, with no space to get up on either side, and the floors creaked loudly with every step. The rooms looked nothing like the website photos. Church bells rang day and night and could be heard through the windows, and every sound in the halls came through as well. I asked to move because I couldn't sleep in that room. For an extra 50 euros, I was put in a superior double, which once again didn't resemble the photos. It felt like false advertising and should be illegal. The website also says nothing about the renovation work, so be prepared for that. This hotel is outrageously expensive, inconveniently located, and not worth the price. If you're after old-world charm, look elsewhere; I didn't find any here. A lot of the reception staff were snobby despite the low quality of the rooms, and in general I don't think staying here is worthwhile.

We picked this hotel for its great location near the city centre and because I was curious about staying in one of Europe's truly ancient hotels. It lived up to our expectations, and the staff were experienced, attentive, and helpful whenever we needed them. Housekeeping was consistently top-notch. The hotel is ancient, but the renovation has been done beautifully. Historical details and exposed elements have been kept throughout, so you can really feel its history, while the mix of old and new gives modern comfort. Wi-Fi was fast everywhere in the building, and we slept very well on high-quality mattresses with an extra topper. There was also a pillow menu. Our room's design suited the hotel's style and felt balanced. The only small inconvenience was not having a dedicated bathroom socket for a shaver or electric toothbrush. The restaurant fell short on taste, too. Its staff were kind and looked after us well, but the food felt too ordinary and the menu could be more sophisticated than standard fare at other local restaurants. We ate elsewhere for our remaining two evenings. Even with that restaurant issue, I'd definitely recommend this cozy hotel to friends. The prices felt honest.

The location made it easy to reach St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Danube Canal, and other cultural spots on foot, while the hotel itself was quiet at night, away from the busiest streets. What stands out about Hotel Stefanie is its age and character: as Vienna’s oldest hotel, it has a sense of history you don’t get from a modern chain. My room was clean, comfortable, and well cared for, with historical touches alongside the conveniences I expected. The staff were attentive and professional, from arranging transport and giving directions to sharing local suggestions. The lobby had a lovely traditional feel, and the stay gave me a real taste of old Vienna. A comfortable place with welcoming service.
